Chico Beyond Adventure is just one of them! Don’t know where to go? We’ll lead you through a variety of landscapes in Upper Bidwell Park and share local knowledge about landmarks, natural history, ecology, and route options so that you can feel comfortable taking on Bidwell Park with your own crew in the future. Trips are primarily designed for those new to hiking in Chico or those visiting from out of the area.

…And on this adventure I’m looking forward to showing you how much I love hiking around Bidwell Park! Before starting Chico Beyond Adventure I had a blast showing off adventures in Butte County with Explore Butte County (check out Butte County Adventures here!) and even helped the City of Chico design a new map for Bidwell Park (you’ll see them at most trailheads). Before that I created the California Hiking Map too. If you haven’t noticed yet, I love hiking! Let’s go on an adventure!
Chico Beyond Adventure operates under a Special Use Permit from the City of Chico with approval from the Bidwell Park & Playground Commission.
